Halibut is a bitch to cook....2 seconds too long and it's dry. So I would imagine, there are some reservations about trying it. If you have heaps of the stuff like PNW, then you'll be naturally good at cooking the stuff if you run a chippie....

@Chibs loads of halibut where I live in Norway (not that @Giles caught any when he was here, something we’ll have to rectify…).

Never gets fried, let alone battered, as it is considered some of the best fish available from the sea. Frying is reserved for trash fish
