Iron Chef WAYCT - What Are You Cooking Today

@mclaincausey I had a buddy that lived in Wrigleyville right after college, think mid 90’s, and that pic brings me back to day games at Wrigley drinking Old Style, then many bars and finally late night “Chicago style” dogs. It’s the only way to go once you’ve been initiated. And yours looks as authentic as it can get!

@SKT thank you! The wiener was my local butcher's version of a Vienna, and I did split it because I like to griddle the interior, and find that the split helps with toppings. I went light on the peppers too. Aside from that it was textbook. It is my favorite way to eat a hotdog.

Roasted pork butt w/ carribean rub, jalapeño slaw, molasses jerk sauce

Partner is away at girls weekend so it’s sheet pan fajitas and allman bros records turned up loud for me. The chef recommends pairing with the German lager and the lower medium shelf reposado.

Yes, it is that time of year again.....
Cool tiles @Giles - is there a story behind them?

We have used Anne Norton) a number of times over the years. We found her when rebuilding are house and put them in a number of rooms. When we added the kitchen extension, a few years back, she was a logical choice. We decided upon sea creatures in green, we needed so many that she had to quickly research additional creatures to paint because we wanted no duplicates.....
This is the stove back....
We have them randomly dotted around the splash backs, but used mainly "corners"...
This is my fave. Paula wanted it discretely in a corner, but she was out when we did the tiling, so it's as central as I could get it and at eye height
@Oaktavia fell in love with them when he was here last year for the party...

Very cool @Giles
Thanks for the details, I will keep her in mind if I ever get around to my bathroom and kitchen renovations
