              Sleeping Duck is an Australian company that builds an over-engineered bed. I figured it might appeal to regular readers, given Iron Heart's reputation.

              I believe that they're available in the US, but not in the UK. I don't know about the rest of the world.

                  @AdamJ the beds themselves look fairly plain, particularly in the wood finishes. I don't think that they're going to win any design awards.

                  The engineering inside them is quite solid, but whether you need something that strong is a different question.

                    We bought the hairpin leg bed by Modernica and it is pretty solid for us. Previously we had the Floyd bed which was ok. It shifted a lot and the panels slipped on occasion. My daughter has it now, and she loves it.

                      In the new house we have this odd little room off of the main dining/living room space. It was basically unused by the previous owners but we will be using it for playing vinyl and sips in the evening 🥃

                          @SourPower thank you kindly. The tractor seat is the Mezzadro stool designed by Achille Castiglioni and made in Italy by Zanotta. It’s incredibly stout but comfortable.

                                      @truby wondering why your bricks take on the white coloring? Around here they are largely orange-ish, with some lesser parts blackened by over-cooking in the ovens during the manufacturing process.
                                      Genuinely curious.

                                          @motojobobo hey man,

                                          So I’m no contractor but I work for a few. And from my understand they are antique brick that have been reclaimed off and old building or home. Generally speaking with a building is old and dilapidated they tear it down and if the brick is pretty they can save it.

                                          So you won’t believe this….. for nice brick like this they pay someone to take it off by hand one brick at a time!!!! My building or home they took this off of is probably painted brick.
