My gateway jacket to IronHeart
-
This right here was the jacket that started it all for me. Bought in Kyoto, Top of the Hill shop. Never found anything like it outside Japan, while searching more about it i found IronHeart and now i'm on a quest to replace all my old clothes. So far 2 hits 2 misses, 301s 14oz jeans are too tight and @JoshC is now repairing them so i can find a new home for them, ihm-35-blk N1 whipcord black i got second hand is one size too large for me so that one also needs a new home, but i have hope i'll be wearing some Ironheart that fit me just right someday!

My gateway product was the IH-526J-142 modified type 3 jacket, I ordered from BadWeatherCafe in Sweden just months before they decided to go out of business unfortunately.
Very sorry for those guy they had to make
The decision. We don’t have that many great stores in Sweden unfortunately. But I am at the same time very grateful they open my eyes to a new world I now consider myself to be a part of🫶

I picked up the 526 type III here in the Netherlands at Arborator, great store in Haarlem. Had the chance to try it on and see other IH stuff. Bought the jacket in November, and a UHF a couple of weeks later... a couple of shirts, jackets and jeans later I'm hooked

I’m confused @ÆRϺΔΚ , as the pic in your post isn’t an IH jacket? But, I’ll play—my first Iron Heart jeans were superblack 301 purchased at self edge in SF around 2009. Pretty soon after I got some 634s on eBay. I got my first jacket, an IHM-03 in the winter of the following year, and it’s still in rotation to this day!

@sabergirl It's not but that's the one that got me into IH clothing.

The 17oz duck IH-2526J was my gateway. Still my favorite, I’d say!

@mecken88
My first IH jacket was the 526J-142 as well, just a year ago. Week or so after was the untucked brown CPO and it’s been quite a few since then. Love every piece I’ve acquired since then. I Was aware of iron heart back in the Sufu days but just rolled with APCs. Would trade in my beat up pair for half of new for like decade,( butler program) pair of diors back then as well. Then few pairs of Taylor stitches, with APC in rotation till 2020. Took a break from denim(baggy cargos) few years and sugar canes got me back in, and then IH got me hooked. -
@meatmarketdenim1 great read my man! It’s a great jacket! They truly make amazing stuff!🫶
