The Outlet & Project RE:LOVE Drops
-
@Gavin666 I'm definitely no expert and I've thought the same as you. From what I've seen in my few years on Grailed and other resell sites. IH jeans, for the most part, re-sell for $200-$250. Sometimes for more, sometimes for less. After reading the IH Re:Loved web page "If the piece still has wear left in it, we’ll put it through our 5-point repair process — cleaning, restoring, reinforcing and making it ready for someone new." I personally don't feel the Re:Loved price is too much. I brought my 5 year old pair of 888s in for repair at Self Edge and paid $70 for 3 spots to be fixed. One should take into consideration that Iron Heart is repairing the denim before listing them on Reloved so repair cost could be factored into the price. They also have a bunch of costs associated with running a business and projects like Re:Loved, take manpower. Just my thoughts man. I'm an IH crack head so I'll defend my unnecessary clothe purchases till I die. Cheers

@Matt I understand that side, just not why someone wouldn't sell on forum, eBay etc and get much more themselves.
-
@goosehd If I could upvote you more than once, I would...
-
@goosehd makes sense. Wasn’t sure if there was a charity aspect or something I was missing.
-
@Gavin666 Yes: RE:LOVED— Repaired & Reworn If the piece still has wear left in it, we’ll put it through our 5-point repair process — cleaning, restoring, reinforcing and making it ready for someone new. As well as giving them a new lease of life, 10% of all RE:LOVED sales go to charity. So far, the project has raised $17,639 for the Blue Marine Foundation, supporting ocean conservation efforts.

@goosehd awesome.
-
@Gavin666 In all honesty i've had any number of occasions of people submitting items that were so good i've emailed them back saying something along the lines of 'Are you absolutely sure? You could absolutely get more money for this/these if you looked into private sale either on our forum or elsewhere' and every single time they still wanted to go ahead for the reasons @goosehd mentioned: Selling privately can and often is a hassle, RE:LOVE is significantly easier by comparison - many people rationalise that they've already had their money's worth out of whatever their sending so the store credit is just a jump start on their next purchase or replacement.

@Ross thanks for clarifying Ross. Was just curious as it’s horses for courses and sometimes it’s easy to forget how we all differ. I personally find eBay a doddle and have sold everything I never want on there with a 2k 100% positive rating built up over 20 years yet my son won’t touch it!

@Ross Wow! Some knockouts for us XL sized dudes!
-
@Danimal506 Yeup, this is a very serious drop indeed - dont think its our absolute biggest, but its definitely up there
-
@Ross I think the sleeve length on the IHSH 368 is wrong. Showing at 22.8 inches from memory.
-
@IrishHeart You're absolutely correct, this was a typo from myself and has now been corrected, cheers
-
@Ross
bought a pair of UHR and missed the part where I can add hemming and choose the lenght. Is this not working with relove? -
@Daniel-San If you just drop us a note with the length you'd like them hemmed to and we can still hem them for you, i'll have a look into hemming option on RELOVE in the meantime
-
@Ross
it’s already at hemming Ross. wrote the lenght I want at the comments in the ordering section.
Off cause the smart guys noticed -
