Hard to fathom this is 58 days of wear. I doubt I could get there in 580 days. That's handcraft for you. (Currently I'm a student (again), so a whole lot of reading these days, which is easy on the denim).

The 822s are probably your best bet. Though I kind of doubt they'll last a full year. Someone should convince Haraki to make som triple knee jeans for you.

(And I think I have to reassess the pair you wore in the last II, I don't think any pair of jeans would have survived)

Here's 1955 and 888 to compare. Thought folks would think this is interesting. Posted it in another thread, but figured it fit here too...

Tried to make the pics as similar as possible. Size 32 1955 21oz indigo vs Size 33 888 21oz indigo; both are hemmed to 30". Very similar fit, but 888 narrows at the knee, which changes the shape of the entire leg. 1955 is like a big tube leg (unless you size down, to get a slimmer look). If both were size 33, the difference in appearance would be substantial, as compared to this, which is more subtle. In my assessment overall, though the measurements between 1955 and 888 look close on paper, the 888 has less volume than 1955 in virtually every proportion of the entire jean. I think a size 31 1955 and this size 33 888 would fit me almost the same tbh. Lemme know what you think of this comparison. Many of you probably have more experience with both these cuts than I.

Hey @nomadic the 21oz isn't getting restocked this year but hopefully next year we will see another restock, but we will be getting the 14oz around August/September time

Wearing these today as my main project is getting a much needed soak right now... Crazy how comfy relaxed fitting 21oz is when you come from 555s-19L

Any ideas when these will come back in stock? I’m really keen to give them a try. Unfortunately because of getting into weight training I can no longer fit into 888s as they’re too tight on my upper legs. I’m a w33. Anyone with experience of 1955 any chance they give more thigh and quad room compared to 888? It looks like thigh measures slightly less on these but generally top block is a little bigger so thought they might work! So sad that no iron heart cuts seem to work for me. Best I’ve found is Samurai s3100 which fit me great although I’d prefer more of a taper

If I was looking for a pair of 634 with a high raise are these really the answer? When I compare the measurements of my 888 and these the hem is even smaller on the 1955

@m4xime I can't speak for the 634 but owning a couple pairs in both the 888 and 1955 I believe my hem on the 1955 is wider. I usually opt for them when I know I'll need the extra mobility during the day. I can measure when I get home.

@catdad1 I think it will likely be because the 1955s only taper below the knee vs the 888s mid thigh. So for a guy like me (174cm/5.8ft) it could work as I won't be deep into the taper even if the hem is smaller on 1955 vs 888 I might end up with a wider hem on the 1955s

@m4xime 888 hem came in about .5" smaller to the 1955 at 31" inseam for me. These are both OD but the standard indigos should translate. Also 888 overlayed on top of 1955 to see the difference.

@catdad1 Thank you for these, appreciate it. Looks like there isn't much in it at all at the hem but the whole leg is a bit wider all the way down.
