Well I’m now a proud owner of a 1979 VW T3 air cooled Transporter. It’s in Poland currently so now the journey begins for it to get to me in Canada. I’m pretty excited. These things really don’t exist here, especially in this good of shape. I had someone go inspect it and so far everything checks out. Hopefully I get it in a month or so.

Thanks @endo it looks good and was inspected but it doesn’t make me any less nervous. I’ve always loved these. My wife doesn’t share the same enthusiasm but is happy for me so I guess that’s all that matters.

I hope it all works out well. Such a beautiful car! They were very common here in Germany in the past. I drove one for a couple of years in the 90s (but the Kombi, Typ 253).
How do you get it from Poland to Canada, and what does that cost?

Well the price of the truck itself was very reasonable. There is nothing for sale in this shape in all of Canada from what I could find. I found one that was pretty good and they wanted more than what this cost. I think since they are sort of rare that everyone thinks they have a pot of gold. I think in the end though I will end up paying more. Shipping is a killer, then duty, then I have to pay tax, get a safety, etc. the shipping alone is about $4500 CAD. With all that other stuff on top.

Appears to be in great shape. Very cool. I saw the my first electric VW bus in the neighborhood yesterday. I think those are pretty cool.

Today I was at the Mercedes garage in stockpot biggest in Europe.

May 25th I was out celebrating my 22nd wedding anniversary coming home with my wife from a meal.

Near Manchester City football ground.

Some young kid driving his boss car smash in rear of my Audi car, while I was waiting in traffic to move.

The car was repair by insurance wasn’t happy with it anymore, today after 3 weeks I have part exchange to Mercedes first time.
Let’s see how this one turns out
