Hi, my pair just arrived. I have size 44, they are good in the waist but the legs are terribly long and very wide. Is that how it is supposed to be? These are my first IH pants and I have a feeling they will not be the last.

Hey @Filson Good to hear the waist is good. As for the length all Iron Heart jeans/pants do come with a long leg (which is between 34"-37") we do offer free hemming at the time of purchase. As for the width the Narrow Stripe Hickory Cargo Pants they are a relaxed fit, so they are meant to be a loose fitting pants.

If you need hemming, Im more than happy to help find you a retailer that can get these hemmed for you as you are in Europe and if they aren't right as well let me know and I can help you through the process of returns.

I would always recommend double checking one of your favourite pairs of jeans/pants against the product pages size chart and using the "how we measure guide" that way this will give you a better understanding how the jeans/pants will fit, especially if you are wanting something more narrow in the leg or looser to your current jeans/pants and this would be the same for any Iron Heart Product, always safer to double check.

@JoshC Thanks for the info, next time I buy I will definitely use the option of shortening the legs. As for the width I am simply surprised. Best regards.

After way too much thinking - ordered 😊

Top block measurements seem perfect - I probably prefer a bit more taper, but they should be really comfortable and get a lot of wear come fall.

Can't express how happy I am with these.

Nailed the fit, and the feel of the fabric and construction quality is exceptional.

Just received them today. No pics yet, sorry.

I’m very happy. The fit of the top block is just perfect, they are extremely comfortable. I guess I could have sized down, but I wanted the comfortable fit and I really think I hit the spot.

I’d prefer a bit more taper from the (my) knee, that would be the perfect fit in my book.

A funny thing: I had them hemmed the same length as my 728s, but these are too long. The hemming is spot on, so I think it has to do with the fabric being more loose here, alloving it to drape with fewer creases. I don’t know if others have the same experience?

Oh and: @Alex: These - without pockets- as shorts. I’d buy in a heartbeat.

Possibly the rise being longer, so the crotch sits lower

Could be. But the measurements in my 728s are within ,6 cm of these in both rises (front being a little lower and back a little higher), so that can’t be all of it.

No big deal though, I’ll have it fixed tomorrow, I was just surprised.

It could be the waist, though. The 728s have a slimmer waist, so they probably sit higher om my hips.

So - picked them up after hemming, and stopped by the sale at Brund on the way. There I found two IHSH-388 at a very attractive price.
Combined with these pants it’s almost a resort vibe that I really like 😄

                            (Sorry for the poor picture)

@RubyRae I went down one size, but in fairness I probably should have been taking a 33 over a 34 for the last few years. Love that I can wear these without a belt.
