My impatience got the best of me yesterday,
walked these into Blue Owl Workshop and had them chop and chainstitch the hem. ha -
Setting those cuffs...

In case useful for anyone looking into these nice jeans, the waist has stretched about 1.3 inches after 5 days. I have the non-OD.
-
@babyknight thanks for the info. Do you wear a belt?
-
@caithangkhanh no i don’t
-
Anyone know if the OD denim will stretch the same amount as the regular indigo? Thanks!
-
@djsazon I have a pair of 555 21OZ OD and the non OD version of the same jeans,and the amount of stretch I get out of both is pretty close,maybe slightly less with the OD version,but its negligible. Having said that if the non OD version of your jeans isn’t prone to stretching, I wouldn’t think that the OD version would be prone to stretching. Without that information it’s hard to answer your question. The 21OZ Flagship denim is known for being stretchy. I don’t know if this 19OZ denim has the same attribute. All this probably isn’t helpful.

@Jett129 That was helpful ! Thanks!

Double OD! 301OD under the SEXPOOD. Shirt has a few more days of wear than the jeans.
-
@djsazon it is a pliable fabric. If you push it, it will stretch.

Ready for my first Indigo Invitatioal with these 633! I had some extra denim from getting them hemmed, so I made a little DIY phone case with the extra denim. I’m no expert by any means, so hopefully it stays together. I’ll be using it once the competition starts. I think the phone case will get a bit more wear and tear, so it’ll be nice to see how it fades compared to the jeans.

I just snagged a pair of the 633 in indigo. I really like this denim. It stretches and drapes nice and quick. I especially like that it’s not very hairy…even the indigo. It’s incredibly breathable for 19oz. I’ve worn my OD all summer now and happy to see the new direct-dye shedding quicker compared to my sulphur dyed SBRs . The ODs have been my daily drivers and that’s largely because of the fit. On me these are slightly more relaxed (than my other pairs) as I sized up on these due to the narrower waist. The higher rise in combination with wider dimensions through the leg, works for me
because of 633’s progressive taper from knee down. I think I am preferring this to the 888 cut….although it is very similar (for me). @kiya, any chance you’ll keep this updated higher rise to the 633 cut on future releases? -

I was definitely wondering about the rate at which the new direct dye fades. Awesome that you wore yours all summer. Would love to see photos!

@Oaktavia, I know you know how difficult it is to photograph OD. This morning we caught some flat light so I took the opportunity to start on my indigos.
Worn these 50% of the time last two months:

@Oaktavia
50%. They are my fav pair Rn

I picked up the 301OD from the SE sale after trying on a pair a few months ago and they had been lingering in my mind. Fit was fantastic. Sold my 777 21oz to make room. I like a higher rise with the stronger taper and the 301 really perfects the fit for me. 777 are just too low for me and constantly adjusting when I bend/squat. They come today so my life should change dramatically now.
I also really like that these are apparently very breathable like the 21oz as that was my favorite aspect of that denim.

OK guys, Big discovery …..
Size down in these suckers because they are very generous when they stretch out….
I just got these in the mail today and I’m much better liking the fit sizing down
after about a week they’ll be comfortable
There’s just one size difference between this post and the last one, but seems like it’s a different fit or cut altogether

@truby I just had the same experience with the same pair of jeans. I bought my usual 633 size since the measurements all lined up and the new pair was way bigger, so I'm currently awaiting my exchange for a size down.
