@Denimminer that looks so good..
-
@Denimminer hell yeah man, got looks great to me.
-
@Denimminer Perfect fit and looks great.
-
Just got my indigo cpo and it's damn near perfect. The fabric is very similar to the 18oz vintage (which I love) with a just a bit more slub. I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference if I didn't know it was a different denim. The measurements and fit are what I was hoping for and, for the size medium that I got (my usual IH size), appears to be very similar to the 292. I want to wear this as a jacket rather than a shirt and I can fit a UHF under it for a slightly tight but comfortable enough fit. With wear I know it will stretch enough to be perfect. Also was glad that the hem isn't too wide and clings to my body while not being tight at all. Seeing how nice the CPOs turned out I'm definitely thinking about grabbing a pair of the jeans.
-
@Denimminer it's perfect in my opinion, congratulations mate
-
My indigo CPO arrived today. This thing is substantial, I love it. Now the long waiting game of being able to actually wear it.
-
@Nobunaga stoked for you! In your opinion, you’re saying this will stretch a bit if it behaves like the 292? Then shrink some with a cold wash, but ultimately stretch back out to initial measurements, or post-wear-stretch measurements? My first non-OD CPO and unsure what to expect..
-
My OD arrived today and fits like a dream. It'll be a nice piece to look forward to when the time comes. Aiming for early next year...this thing is thick and heafty, reminds me of the 409 a little. Not so much texture-wise but definitely weight feel. I absolutely love the W on the pocket. I sincerely hope that this happens with other CPOs down the line. I love that friggin W.
-
@Oaktavia is right on, love the W. Great great shirt. Super unique fabric. Way way heavier than I was expecting. These "action" shots were brutal lol. It was only 77°. Will be next to the UHF's in the storage room for a while.
-
@Oaktavia I hope it's not. I held off on the non OD in favor of the 292 restock(someday....
🥵) because of wanting the 18oz fabric in my collection.
-
@MSav32323 I was just referring to the CPO being a little snug on me with a UHF underneath and that as I wear it, it will stretch out a little in the areas where there is tension. In my particular case, the arms are a little tight while layering over a UHF and it will loosen up with enough wear because there is enough tension there to cause it to stretch a little.
But yes, if you wash cold and hang dry you should experience minimal shrinkage and it will stretch back out in the areas that experience sufficient tension.

Felt Like a little kid at Xmas when came home from work and saw my package siting on the mail table. Went with an XL, usually a large in IH besides my 19oz lefty OD(xxl). Checked measurements, think a large prob would’ve been to snug . fits pretty great, besides minor tad longer sleeve. Which can cuff up one button like my 292. Not going wear for awhile but I’m sure will break in nicely once start. Very hyped! -
@Nobunaga thanks for the detailed response! It’ll be very interesting to see how this evolves and changes over time, both with my personal experience, and everyone else out there! Cheers!

I also do not think this denim is that similar to the 18oz Vintage, especially the nonOD. It seems more rich and saturated with indigo, texture is different too. It is in a whole other category imo.
interesting and I agree: a whole other category of denim. I’ve only got the od RN, but from what I can tell it’s more of an open weave like that of the 18V and less like that of the 19L/21S (hefty, soft and homogenous). For me that’s where the comparison stops. It definitely feels more substantial than the 18V and the texture is through-the-roof interesting half-way to slubby that drapes really nicely…like that of a SHF. Maybe this 19oz is 19SHV (Slubby Heavy Vintage)?
-
Not sure if it’s been said here, but. I m also liking the new direct dye od. In conjunction with the raised vertical texture of this weave, it almost looks prefaded yet more of a flat matte black. Difficult to describe, but I do really like it. That said the sulphur od is quite a bit different. A much darker and inky sheen.

@meatmarketdenim1 looks great man and it'll be something awesome to look forward to when the time comes to wear it.

@Boit I'm not sure it qualifies as a Heavy Slubby Vintage nomenclature-wise. Is the 18oz Vintage called that because it has a slightly lighter, vintagey-indigo hue? This 19oz is dark like ink from a ballpoint pen. Maybe HSS - Heavy Slubby Selvedge would better suit the denim. Idk. My two cents.
