Will this become extant? I am assuming it will due to the interest in making sweats in a core set of colors.

Got mine a couple days ago, it’s perfect. I do 2XL in work/western shirts and tees and have always felt XL in the hoodies is perfect- no different with this one.

My first venture into IH knits & sweats department - and what a start!
Amazing garment, heavy as hell, material feel is wonderful especially inside.
As for fit, I sized down on this (normally XXL in UHFs and went for XL). Fit is exactly what I wanted, still relaxed fit and plenty of room.
I also ordered an XXL to try (my usual size), but it was quite baggy on me. So I’m definitely in the size down camp on this one.
Big up @Bailey for sourcing this for me! You’ve made my week!Paired with 634s-sbg

Is it best to go for the same shoulder and p2p measurements I would typically look for in a shirt with these hoodies?

That may get you in a little bit of trouble. Ideally, one would want to measure a similar item, like another hoodie or sweater, if possible.
My personal rule is the same size for a relaxed fit or one size down if you like a more snug hoodie, as they have a bit of give in the fabric. I find that how one wants a hoodie to fit has a broader spectrum that shirt sizing.
