@twin I'd rather watch my Packers greatest hits DVDs with Ray Nitschke and Bart Starr than anything from today.

@CosmoSix5 Yea the old time football was better then today. They all have become over paid fat cats today. We were at the Browns games in 1978.

@Matt Didn’t make it out to Dead Horse Point, because we knew we were going back to Arches, that night, for the sunset and some stargazing, which was fantastic.Heading to Salt Lake City tomorrow and then home on Tuesday.

@Denman-John pretty much the same technique and equipment I’ve used for sheds, verandas and balconies. The difference here is that either a. You hope to find bedrock (basically mountain), when digging the post holes. Or b. You have to dig 150cm down to ensure your pillars are below the level of the winter frost (about 100cm deep where I live).

The exposed brackets are normally hidden by the construction but lifting your structure off the ground is a wise move.

@neph93 There are a hundred ways to build a garden shed and we could talk about it all day. I was assuming the bracket pegs/pin were mounted in concrete of some sort, but couldn’t really tell because it was tastefully hidden. I agree that wood shouldn’t be touching the ground. Around here we would usually put it up on blocks for project this size. I think @endo shed looks cool and hope it serves him well for many years to come!

@Denman-John don’t know about northern Germany, but up here the swell that occurs with the ground frost would render anything built on blocks crooked after one winter. Not that big of a problem in the UK, happily.
