Surprised our oldest with a Red Sox game in Cleveland today. Nature surprised us with the games cancelation. Only a 90 minute drive to Cleveland lol. Back again tomorrow for another try.

@Matt Didn’t make it out to Dead Horse Point,because we knew we were going back to Arches,that night, for the sunset and some stargazing,which was fantastic.Heading to Salt Lake City tomorrow and then home on Tuesday.

@Denman-John pretty much the same technique and equipment I’ve used for sheds, verandas and balconies. The difference here is that either a. You hope to find bedrock (basically mountain), when digging the post holes. Or b. You have to dig 150cm down to ensure your pillars are below the level of the winter frost (about 100cm deep where I live).

The exposed brackets are normally hidden by the construction but lifting your structure off the ground is a wise move.
