    @Oaktavia - wonderful news, congrats!

    Seems like you've been training for this at work for a number of years. Not to mention your work with the pups. But I'm sure you realize that there is no true training for what you're getting yourself into. My suggestion is to embrace every moment of it, as time really does start to move fast once you have a little one onboard.

      Crazy dreams this weekend. Last night I was trapped in Russia and couldn’t figure out how to get home. A group of like minded refugees and I were planning an escape and we were all wearing M-65s. So obviously now I need one.

              I would not know a golf bat if it hit me in the goolies.

              But I am so very delighted that Rory has completed the grand slam….

                    Call me petty, but I am very happy to see Bayern eliminated from the Champions League. But since the final is in their stadium, they may still get some tickets

                      What do you guys think about this method of commuting to work at 7:30 am? Must be accepted practice in Tilcara, northern Argentina because cops were in the vicinity and didn’t act annoyed. Seems more fun that driving in a car although it can’t be very safe.

                          Depends on how fast they were going, I guess. Seems unlikely that an earth mover that size would be capable of getting to highway speed. Still seems more dangerous than riding in a truck bed—and in most states in the US, they don’t want you to do that.

                            @sabergirl another example of American dumbassery. Maybe because if you're thrown from the truck you won't be able to pay for medical 🙄

                                It was slow, maybe 20-25 km/h. And they weren’t going very far. About 6 to 8 km ahead, overnight rain had dragged mud and rocks on the highway and they were going to clear that up.

                                  I have fond memories of riding in the bucket of tractors. Every spring after the fields were freshly plowed, we would need to pick stones off the field prior to the year’s plantings. The reason we would do this is so that the stones wouldn’t get caught in the combine heads and break machinery. After walking the fields all day in loose soil, any time where you weren’t walking was much needed.

                                  Not saying it’s safe, nor smart, but sometimes it’s a necessity so that you can keep doing a back breaking job. Just my $.02.
