A couple more here, these are all Trickers boots.

@Go-For-Chill those are dope AF!
-
I had a pair of smooth ostrich and they're so soft. They were just Ariat but we're great. To big so they were moved on. Never brave enough for full quill
-
@goosehd Hell yes!! Leddy is about 10 minutes from my house. They do some beautiful work and those are no exception.
-
@Go-For-Chill such a great spot!! My wife had a conference there a few years ago and we loved the area.

I went to visit my favorite boot maker today, threw in an order, and got measured up. I’m still deciding between ostrich and elephant. Now I just have to wait a year and I’ll have something cool to share.

@Go-For-Chill Nice!

@Go-For-Chill I would be a very poor man if I lived there as I love just about every pair of boot I ran across. Is that from Morris and the same as your other boots? I tried to go there a few times and his store was closed every time I walked by. So wanted to stop in there…
I walked into Leddy’s with the mindset that I was going to go full gator and had a very quick humbling experience when I saw the prices. Beautiful boots, but definitely a step or 5 out of my price range. I still want to do a gator build by them and keep thinking one day.
As to your boots, either one of those leathers are gorgeous. Are you leaning one way or another? What are you going to do for the shaft?

This is Morris and the fella in the black hat is Steve, the owner/bootmaker. Steve had a couple health things that kept him out of the shop over the past few years, but he’s back and building!
I have the same struggle with the boot collection vs the wallet! I get random ideas for boots all the time and have to keep myself from driving down that street so I don’t “just stop in.” I currently have two pair on order. One I’m considering having done in Horween CXL black Horsehide. I’ve never seen cowboy boots done with Horween. Normally patina isn’t a thing in western boots, but I think it would be rad. For the second pair, I really want elephant but I want it in the color of the ostrich, so he’s ordering another elephant hide in that lighter natural color.
I would argue that Morris is the highest quality boot maker in Fort Worth. He’s had so many articles written about him. He just finished training a guy for the Army cavalry. That guy is now going back to now train other boot makers for the cavalry. Steve is also just a good hearted guy. He charges about half of what he should.
…and yea, ML Leddy’s price tag on their full gators…. GOOD gracious! Ouch.

Whites loggers are my preferred lawn work boots. One of my favorite and most comfortable pair.
