Copped an XL after measuring my lighter weight wabash and indigo chambray short sleeved shirts. The 416 is definitely wider than both but I am attributing this to the cut being different and described as relaxed. I sized for shoulders.

It is a beautiful shirt, and I have a weak spot for Wabash (bibs, work jacket, western shirt, vest and apron).. but decided to pass in this case, the short boxy cut is not for me. Also I have enough IH shirts for two lifetimes. When I checked just now XXL was already gone Enjoy everyone who snapped one up!

Few years old 284 and new 416. They fit pretty similar, nice and relaxed. The 416 is my birthday present to me from Amanda and she says I can't wear it till June. I didn't think my 284 was faded that much until I saw these two together. I have worn and washed it a lot over 2 or 3 summers. I plan to wear the 416 a lot this summer.

@Rococo thanks man, and yep the 284 is a nice lightweight 6oz. the 10oz 416 is just slightly less heavy feeling compared to the 12oz wabby.

2x leaves plenty of room. XL was to short for me otherwise I'd have gone with it. Definitely the most generous Iron Heart I've worn. My first mechanic so it may be perfectly normal. I'm a XXX IH Western 90% of the time.

@CosmoSix5 looks great as is and has a bit of room to shrink with your first wash. Both colors of these are on my radar.

Got this in both blue and black. Substantial fabric without being to heavy. I think this shirt will be great for California spring and our for central valley summers! I purchased in Xl and it fit great. The blue looks terrific with my off-white momotaro jeans.

Incoming. The measurements on the size Large seem like they would fit with room but after discussion with @Graham I decided to track down an XL with a smaller P2P. I've been really slow to add to my SS IH offerings so if this fits as good as I hope it'll open the door for more.

@jordanscollected nice dude, it's an awesome shirt. Just be prepared it is boxy, but meant to be. Took me a few minutes in the mirror before I felt OK with mine. They're rad shirts. I got an XL too.

I'm usually a 3x in IH. This shirt is a 2x and is on the edge of being to big. The XL length made this my cutoff choice. Got it from an eBay seller in Japan so I was ok with the risk.

I was really perplexed at the measurements vs the discussions about sizing people have had on here. I think I figured out what’s going on. This shirt has smaller arm holes than any IH shirt I’ve owned, and it’s giving the perception that the shoulders are snug.

You can see by my photo the shoulder seams drape over my shoulder just a bit but it does feel slightly snug in the shoulders, and it’s due to the high armpit cut of this shirt. While all other measurements in a large would have worked, the shirt would have been too snug in the large size. This shirt fits me great, I must be square shaped. Anyhow hopefully this helps someone else with their sizing choice from a retailer with this in stock. I would stick with your normal shirt size if you are between sizes.

@dlrarmy they're 555 21oz but have been professionally tapered by about 1.25+ inches. Current hem is 7.85"
