@northsouthdenimguy love those Rios…wondering how you sized them? Same as say White’s or Wescos?

Rios are true to size but I typically have to remove the leather topped foam insert that comes with them and put in a thinner one. Their insert takes up way too much volume. I found that the Wesco inserts for my Mr. Lous are perfect to put into the Rios.
One thing I have not been able to do is try on the EE which may solve the issues of volume and would allow me to keep their insert in. I’ve also heard people sizing up a half but the length is perfect for me at TTS.
I also have a pair of the Marine Field rough out where my feet literally would fall asleep if I kept the insert in

@northsouthdenimguy love the roughouts too. I think I would be fine then ordering my White’s size which is 9.5D. I do love those Black Bear collabs. Thanks for the info!

@Go-For-Chill It wasn’t at all as they had leather set aside for the purple boots listed in the beginning of the thread. I asked via pm if they could use my specifications to make a pair using that leather. It didn’t really take any longer than any other custom build and very happy with how they turned out.
If you would like, I can find my specs and post them here for anyone interested. Please note that builds from Wesco take a crazy amount of time now and I don’t know if any of this specific leather is still available.
@Ross Any idea on what’s left. Also, if you do look to go to the custom route, Ross is the man to talk to.

As far as I know they don't have any left, all the hide they had was allocated for our Purpetrators. Your's were the very last pair we could get in on the hide they had available.
They may get some back in the future, never say never but i think it's probably unlikely

So good! I just wish they made half sizes. My 11s were just slightly too big. I feel like it’s a full size down from Brannock boot. At least for a D width foot.

@ZackB love them! Really nice boots, the leather moulds around your foot very quickly. No breaking in practically - they were comfortable since day one.
@northsouthdenimguy yeah, I get what you mean. I am wearing mine with thick sox for best fit. The sizing is all over the place…really challenging.
But I have a bit of luck maybe so I am happy with the size. -
