This thread definitely needed to exist - thanks for starting it @Seul!

For me tea is a bit like beer – I can forget it exists for long periods (so many other good things to drink that I reach for first) but I enjoy it when I rediscover it. I might have to get something new next time I order from my coffee/tea dealer!

Also calling @seashift as he (or more likely Nadia) may have something to contribute here.

@Marty_funkhauser My wife's family drinks Barry's and thus, we used to drink a lot of Barry's. It's really great stuff!

The biggest tragedy in the building of the British empire wasn't the atrocities committed to control spice and sugar trades. It was the fact that once they had that control, the Brits refused to use any of it. 😁

I might agree if the national dish of England wasn't Chicken Tikka Masala. 😉

If someone can recommend an Earl Grey, that would be nice. I'm pretty basic when it comes to tea brands (but I do enjoy trying out different Grey's in different coffee/tea shops).

I miss the days of the greasy spoon with the urn that just kept adding tea bags and water to it, could almost have the spoon standing in the mug sometimes

@Nick not strictly Earl Grey, but my usual tea/coffee merchant does this Blue Sky tea which might work for you.

I also enjoy the spicy and astringent flavours of Chinese and Taiwanese teas, but for some reason I happen to buy more Japanese tea. Even though I sometimes feel they like to keep their best teas to themselves :).

@ARNC Ha, she is definitely more versed than I am in this, but I have had the pleasure of dabbling in the dark arts of the whites, greens, various needles of silver and Pu'er. But, being a man of simple tastes, this has been my daily driver recently:

I have always been a coffee drinker enjoying both the coffee but also the ceremony. Unfortunately, massive amounts of caffeine don’t agree with me lately so I have been drinking more and more tea. So glad this thread is here, will get some pics of my teas tomorrow!
