@Matt , I've got you beat. Tomorrow night, we start a 90 hour stretch of wind chills below zero. Forecasted temps aren't much better...

I’m certainly not trying to compete with Wisconsin, cold is cold.

It's going to be cold in North Carolina Mon., Tue., and Wed. but nothing like Baltimore or Wisconsin.

@Giles Thank you and what I see many times over the course of the winter. It’s a beautiful sight to see that changes daily with some days where it sounds like breaking glass as the chunks of ice grind against each other.

Quite the experience. I need to work on getting you guys here to experience it. You’ll just need to find some heavy clothing to withstand the freezing temperatures 😂

Katie and I got it within hours. We’ve been struck by it together before and every time we have different symptoms. I exclusively experience the southern version while she opts for the northern. That was the least gross language I could think of. Fortunately we have three bathrooms. One for her, one for me and one for the kids who didn’t get it. 🤞

Oh yeah, I can imagine. I definitely got colds and maybe even a flu once or twice in college but no stomach bugs. I honestly have only had it maybe two or three times that I can remember.

The last time we had it the girls were in preschool and we had to call the school and have one of their teachers bring them home. Thankfully they can pretty much take care of themselves now.

That really sucks. We both consoled ourselves with the fact that we weren’t missing out on anything this week. Sorry buddy. Hopefully you were mostly better for Xmas. For us it’s awful on day 1. Better but lingering on day 2. I feel good today.

@Matt it seems ive made it a tradition to get sick on holidays. It was a 24 hour thing but i was recovering from the dehydration for 2-3 days. I had the "mason-dixon version". We call it the B.E.S.T. (both ends, same time).
                                      Glad you're better.

Oh no. 😥. That’s the worse case scenario. I was actually able to stay on top of the hydration by sticking to pepto and liquid iv. I knew from last time that the dehydration was actually one of the worst parts of it. That was actually the worst part of my colonoscopy too. The prep fucking sucks.

but i discovered the magic of Liquid IV just in time for my most recent gut bug. Works great for hangovers too.
