Katie and I got it within hours. We’ve been struck by it together before and every time we have different symptoms. I exclusively experience the southern version while she opts for the northern. That was the least gross language I could think of. Fortunately we have three bathrooms. One for her, one for me and one for the kids who didn’t get it. 🤞

Oh yeah, I can imagine. I definitely got colds and maybe even a flu once or twice in college but no stomach bugs. I honestly have only had it maybe two or three times that I can remember.

The last time we had it the girls were in preschool and we had to call the school and have one of their teachers bring them home. Thankfully they can pretty much take care of themselves now.

That really sucks. We both consoled ourselves with the fact that we weren’t missing out on anything this week. Sorry buddy. Hopefully you were mostly better for Xmas. For us it’s awful on day 1. Better but lingering on day 2. I feel good today.

@Matt it seems ive made it a tradition to get sick on holidays. It was a 24 hour thing but i was recovering from the dehydration for 2-3 days. I had the "mason-dixon version". We call it the B.E.S.T. (both ends, same time).
                    Glad you're better.

Oh no. 😥. That’s the worse case scenario. I was actually able to stay on top of the hydration by sticking to pepto and liquid iv. I knew from last time that the dehydration was actually one of the worst parts of it. That was actually the worst part of my colonoscopy too. The prep fucking sucks.

@Matt that sounds worse than Noro lol
but i discovered the magic of Liquid IV just in time for my most recent gut bug. Works great for hangovers too.

@alex actually turned me onto it last fall. I knew it was a thing but I didn’t realize how effective it is.

@Matt intimately familiar with all this. Sorry you guys are hitting it the same time, kind of sucks when you don’t have the energy to baby one another. If your kids are like ours, I’m sure they’ve been eagerly looking for ways to nurse you both back to health

However, next week this time and I’ll be in the Caribbean 🙂

The great thing about dry heat is that shade actually provides relief. Now that I’m back on the east coast I have to get used to sweating at night again.
