My buddy just bought a pair of Freenote black/ grey 14.25 oz jeans.
My question is about marbling. Just curious if this is an issue to be cautious of across black jeans in general, or something perhaps Iron Heart might be more prone to for whatever reason.
I’ve advised him to presoak and flip inside out before washing…no spin etc.

Just wondering if marbling is something all black jeans have a tendency to do?

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

I know there was legal drama surrounding the red tab at some point but did "The Big L" ever throw a temper tantrum over this logo?

@GraemeE Because the legal opinion on this is that ‚anything‘ pulling apart a pair of jeans is an infringement of their iconic design.

When taking shoulder measurements 'The IH Way' why do you guys go up to the collar and then back down again rather than straight across?

Just curious, as most retailers seem to do the latter and it has thrown me off on occasion.

And we do that so when we are discussing/speccing products with Japan, there is less room for misunderstanding.....

And the above fro G came about because The "up and down" method considers the slope and contour of the shoulder seam as it would sit on a person, rather than just a flat, straight-across line. This better reflects how the shirt is constructed and how it drapes when worn.

Makes sense, cheers for the info guys.

I find that deducting 0.4 inches from the IH shoulder measurement equates to the 'straight across' measurement when I'm eyeing up things from elsewhere.

If a western shirt cuff fits a little tighter than I'd like, is there realistically anything I can do other than not button it?

@pechelman Motorcyclist use extenders on their vests so that they can wear them over their jackets. If you had a piece of denim with snaps on each end you could extend/loosen the diameter of the cuff. It may seem like a lot of work, but then you could use them on any other western where the cuffs were too tight. Doesn't have to be denim just be able to hold the snap.

Work or western? If it’s a work shirt just resew the button closer to the edge of the cuff.

Western shirt with snaps at the cuff. It's mostly my fault because of my watch but the cuff is the smallest of any IH shirt I have.
