@Nocturama Pinball at the time was not widely accepted. I have yet to see this movie, but according to some hardcore pinball freaks, it's really good.

FTW was a sign of rebellion much like the anarchy symbol illustrating that you did not conform to societies definition of acceptance.
If I recall correctly, The Whoโs pinball wizard was a song about the same and at the time pinball was a slow slope to deviance and non acceptance.
