IHSB-T1-BLK - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Prairie Horsehide Type I Jacket - Black

With a cut inspired by the classic Levi’s Type I design, this collaboration between Iron Heart and Simmons Bilt is constructed from a premium 1.2mm European prairie horsehide. With the leather chrome-tanned in Germany, the jacket is then handmade in Scotland, fitted with a 100% cotton lining produced by Halley Stevensons of Dundee. As per the original Type I design, this cut includes traditional knife pleats and a single buckled cinch, with other features including single chest pocket and an internal storage pouch.

One of Red wing's tea core leather is called "black prairie", is this jacket also a tea core version or just a coincidence ?

@Ross Any additional details on this leather available other than the noted “ premium 1.2mm European prairie horsehide” - example, what type of tanning process (i.e. veg tanned) and anything else to note regarding how it will age with wear or anything else worthwhile? Thanks!

Detailed as 1.1-1.2mm and chromed tanned in Italy. Soft leather with minimal break in required.

Possible for someone to clarify sizing of the ReLoved version of this jacket that is for sale? Pit to pit seems to fall between M and L on original size chart but this example is listed as XL. Similar discrepancies with some of the other measurements. Thanks very much!

@Fjcooper it’s not uncommon for the pre-production sample to have dimensions that fall outside the chart for the actual production run.

Ignore tag size, dude! If the measurements work you’re golden. Pretty sweet deal on a mint jacket
