IH-526J-SLB - 16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Type III Jacket - Indigo
-
So I have a line on one of these slub jackets in my size, but I’m having a hell of a time finding any fade pics of this model online. Do any of you guys that own this jacket have any photos you can share? Also I’ve read conflicting info about it being a very slow fader; is that accurate?
-
@Nostradamion It is not accurate...and these are @Giles pair of 666 Slubs which he has worn for 18 months.
-
@Nostradamion I would not say this fades very slowly. I am wearing my Type II here in just under 100 wears and 1 wash.
-
@goosehd Thanks much!!0
-
@Oaktavia Looks amazing: thank you for these pics.
-
@Nostradamion you are welcome

Hot damn this thing dropped a lot of indigo on its first wash. More than any other IH denim I’ve tub washed so far.

Mostly sizing agent and not indigo.....
-
@Giles this begs the question, what is sizing agent?
-
Man, this one is very tempting. The 16oz slubby denim of my 888s absolutely rocks.

Is there also sizing / starch applied after the washing process, presumably, when the garments are ironed out nice and flat?
Nope......It is an urban myth that starch is applied to jeans post construction. At least, there is no point and I know of no one who does so.
