I have a very close friend who has a similar interest in buying his first pair of “good jeans”. Of course I’m directing him toward the IH brand. I may take him shopping in Toronto at Dutil Denim sometime soon.

Howdy folks! The day has come!! We finally opened up Mizmazzle’s Front Room Denim Shop for Matt to go shopping for his favorite pair of Iron Hearts.

I collected four cuts in the 21oz flagship.
555, 666, 634, 888
After all my research, my gut was telling me the 555 or 888 would be the right fit for him. What cut do you think he went with??

He was blown away by the quality!! I pulled out some of my jeans to show him how soft they would get and he was stoked at how mine felt. After trying on all the cuts he could feel the pair he chose getting softer already and loved the feel of the denim. Made me stoked to see him so pumped on his new jeans. I think we nailed the fit!!

So which cut do you think was the winner??

It’s funny…or maybe, predictable…but I sent him these pics about an hour ago so he can get a closer look at the fits. He’s having second thoughts.

He liked the 555 earlier. Knowing Matt, it seemed a bit slim for his personality. I think the 888 is the way to go. We’re doing a second try on tomorrow morning haha.

I bought a friend some Uniqlo selvedge jeans in the early days of my denim fandom, he still has them and claims they were the best jeans he ever had, but he didn't quite catch the bug in the same way I'd have hoped he would

Ooh, this is tricky! Based on what you’ve said, I think it’s between the 666 and 888. 555 looks great on him too, but the others might be easier to live with as a first pair.

It all depends on what feels comfy to him! I think 888 or 634 personally. That would be the best way to ease into heavy denim. I’m glad he’s into the gift ️

@Mizmazzle from my experience wider fits don't fade as fast, so 555 and 666 will maybe look better in shorter time while the 888 seems to be very comfy for him but will take time to look worn because of the more baggy fit.

I personally think the 666 looks best at him
