Interesting show tonight that had me in stitches. Oregon Symphony playing the classics with John Malkovich who was talking shit the whole time. What a legend.

Catching up on many things in this thread:

A. I wish Godspeed were playing Austin this tour — I've never seen them, but I've heard they were insanely loud.
B. My loudest was far and away MBV, but I found the level of loudness kind of schtick-like to a degree, got bored and left like halfway through ‍️.
C. Would love to see Mdou Moctar. I've caught Tinariwen a few times coming through here, and they're always amazing. Definitely something in Mali that produces fantastic music.

Still doing music (when not promoting wrestling), contemporary stuff not really worth mentioning. But some of the old ones still burn.

I was cutting a guy’s hair a couple weeks ago. He’s a regular customer named Fernando. He has a really deep gentile voice so it was no surprise he was the announcer at the local strip club. His dad is a customer as well and we aren’t allowed to talk about it in front of him because he doesn’t know.

Fernando moved on from that gig to ring announcer for Albuquerque’s local wrestling organization. So Fernando comes in all school girl giddy asking for a great cut because he has a meeting with the dude who just bought the local wrestling outfit.

Any guesses who that was?

Kings of Leon in Birmingham on Saturday night - excellent sound, superb audience participation (considering the indoor arena venue and size) and a better overall performance than when we last saw them 2 years ago. I have been sceptical of the new album, but the new songs they played came across well.
Warm night to be indoors - hoping the weather holds out this week for Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.

I saw KOL in the mid 00s and it was a casino theme. There were gaming tables scattered throughout the venue and even a fake Vegas style marriage area. It was a lot of fun.
