Had a blast at Tool at the Birmingham NEC last night. I'm definitely more of a casual fan, but the whole thing blew me away. Such a tight set, Chocolate Chip Trip was a highlight for me!

I’m not a fan but a friend is coming to town for the show and I agreed to go. At least I know Sick of it All will be decent as an opener.

@Inorganic That's sort of philosophical, isn't it I have seen NOFX so many times, some good, many bad - I kind of knew before what I could expect.

@hbg1 It was a combination of everything... I didn't see any of the support bands and arrived late just for NOFX, which kind of set my mood. They seemed tired and delivered a lackluster performance - I have seen them much better in the past. But that was only the Cologne show, last years shows in Barcelona and Amsterdam were much better.

Had an amazing time at Tool in London last night! They were incredible and Maynard was on top form! Seeing Danny Carey perform Choclate chip Trip was really special moment but the highlight for me was Jambi and Invincible, sounded incredible! We got Forty Six and 2 at the end which was a nice surprise. Here’s the set list and Merch purchased!



The supporting act Night Versus were cool and worth checking out, there drummer was a joy to watch.

Interesting show tonight that had me in stitches. Oregon Symphony playing the classics with John Malkovich who was talking shit the whole time. What a legend.

Catching up on many things in this thread:

A. I wish Godspeed were playing Austin this tour — I've never seen them, but I've heard they were insanely loud.
B. My loudest was far and away MBV, but I found the level of loudness kind of schtick-like to a degree, got bored and left like halfway through ‍️.
C. Would love to see Mdou Moctar. I've caught Tinariwen a few times coming through here, and they're always amazing. Definitely something in Mali that produces fantastic music.

Dinosaur Jr is always crazy loud. They moved me to start wearing earplugs. Thirty years is better late than never I guess.
