IH-888D - 17oz Duck Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Brown

Excited for these to drop. Wondering about sizing---I've got some 888 21oz in size 34 that measure 33.5 after I've had them for almost a year and a half now (i.e. when no stretch is left in the waist). They stretch back out to this size within a week or so after washing. This size feels pretty good but I'm slightly worried I'm measuring wrong because they are listed to be 33.6 in the size chart, and mine definitely stretched from when I bought them (but I didn't measure when I first bought them)---so either I'm measuring wrong or I happened to get a very snug pair of the 888 21oz.

Assuming I'm measuring right, it looks like I'd want a 33 in these based on the size chart? I think these are usually said to not stretch very much, right?

Does the duck stretch at all? I think I remember that the answer is no. But I just want to double check with the folks who have experience. Just eyeing up my size for tomorrow

@Fadez it’s very negligible. I’ve had mine for a few years now and haven’t noticed much stretch. I’d say 1/4 inch if even that.

@Fadez I bought my 555 ducks a couple of weeks ago and they were very tight in the waist to start with. Two weeks in they are still tight but not uncomfortable, they have loosened up a small amount. Have to say I agree with @popvulture they stretch a little, but not as much as denim.

I'll be going for my ideal post-stretch 21oz 888 cut denim waist (and thigh) measurement on this since they apparently wont stretch, but will soften up :hand_with_index_and_middle_fingers_crossed:

Just to confuse things, I definitely got stretch out of mine. I have a tag 33 which are a comfy 34+ inches actually. Can't remember what the size chart said a 33 should have been when I purchased, but it definitely wasn't that big.
