Seeing The Mission next week, hopeful it'll be better than seeing Sisters of Mercy last year.

^Haha @october-rust awesome. Takes me back to concerts at the Royal Court in Liverpool in the late 80's. It's funny, I still listen to SOTM and FotN regularly, but rarely The Mish. I may have to fix that today.

@neph93 Andrew and Wayne both brought magic to Sisters of Mercy that they couldn't replicate without the other- but I still love both of their music following the split. Did you go to the With Manchester With Love benefit at Royal Court? The Smiths, New Order, The Fall... Can't imagine.

From age 16-18 I preferred the Mish, but SoM took over after that despite being a seriously damaged and unpleasant individual I always preferred Von’s ascerbic rock god vanity. Totally agree that the early EP’s and FaLaA are better than anything either made after.
I lived in Liverpool from 1986 until 1993 so Royal Court was my natural venue. That gig was when I was a teen and still listening to metal and and I think I saw Metallica and Slayer there that year, so it passed me by in my ignorance. My love of goth and post punk started slightly later, after the necessary hormonal re-adjustment

Just love these guys.

The studio version is also great:

Love Post Malone, love Tyler Childers

I was at the nonclassical at 20 event last night (no pics so posting here). For me the highlights were versions of Shift, trip and Fisher Price pipes:
