Learning moments in my denim journey

To be most successful wearing heavy heavy denim year round one should have jeans in less than 3 oz fabric weight increments.

Only half joking; putting on a pair of UHR this morning after wearing XHS for two months make them feel lightweight and even soft.

Here’s my greatest denim failure:

Tried to emulate @Nik and his fantastic bleached pair with some cheap secondhand 25oz. Now I have acid wash Iron Heart! 666 is also a less comfy cut for me, so these only get worn for yard work and painting these days.

Edit: And yes, I did own a pair or two of acid wash in the day

I had some amazing acid wash somehow black with pink highlights pleated jeans that were my absolute favorite circa 1987! I’ll bet the Gen Zers would looove to get their hands on them.

Acid wash, stone wash, Jams shorts, and even parachute pants. The eighties were… interesting…

I think that tight-rolling XHS may be impossible. I assume that’s what “pegging” is in this context
