@Heavy_blue
thes last few wears leading up to 100 on the ib are really dragging out. I plan on doing a good before/after on their first wash, but I’m in the sbg mostly, still catching em up to these.
-
@WhiskeySandwich they look good mate! Ib denim is among my favorites! I’m dragging mine to almost 50 wears now! But sooner then later they need a soak! How’s your sbg going?
-
@WhiskeySandwich that’s a cool shot all the way around.
-
@WhiskeySandwich I agree, that really is a cool shot, like the way you did that, even if it was random.

I picked up the IHSI-01 silver wallet chain while in Japan and have been wearing it for about a month now. It’s left a greenish mark where it rubs against my jeans. A quick Google search reveals it’s the copper in sterling silver which causes green stains and this can also happen to your skin.
Are there any long time silver wallet chain users out there? If so, I’d be interested in seeing some pics.
Here are my PBJs with the green stain under the left pocket.
I didn’t get any replies to this post, except for an attempt at juvenile humor by Giles, of course
After about 5 months of constant wear, here is the stain caused by the IH wallet chain as well as a pic of the other leg. I still haven’t been able to find any mention of this on the internet and would be interested if others have had this experience as well.

maybe wrong denim brand
?

Could this be sweat, oils, etc tarnishing the silver and the green patch is from the chain effectively being polished as you walk? Or maybe some secondary compound is forming from the silver oxide and indigo or dyeing process?
Have you washed these / how does the stain react to water or soap?

A quick Google.....
"A silver alloy is a mixture of pure silver with one or more other metals. They are created to increase the strength of pure silver, which is unsuitable for jewellery due to its soft and malleable nature. The most commonly used silver alloy in jewellery is sterling silver which is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, such as copper and zinc to increase its durability and resistance to wear and tear."
"Copper will start to react with the oxygen in the air to form copper oxide. The copper oxide will continue reacting to oxygen over time. As the copper oxide continues to react with carbon dioxide and water in the air it coats the surface with that iconic blue-green patina colour."
