I haven't personally had issue with pockets being too small, but one of the things I loved about Mad Red was how deep the inner 'Gun Pockets' were, the bigger the better I say.

Love my work shirts, but the buttons on all of them frequently slip out and are a bit small to fumble with on the heavier fabrics. I like the cat-eye look though.

Yeah, this is a known issue we are working to improve. We will get there

This concerns only the oiled versions of the N1 deck jacket (IHM-37-ODG, IHM-37-BLK).
The armpit material on the inside is the same oiled whipcord as the rest of the jacket. Because this treatment is decreasing breathability, I find it weird that it was used there as the next layer has deliberately the vent holes. At the end of the day, you have two layers of poorly breathing material in the place where you will sweat the most, and the vent holes stop being functional and become more of a decorative ornament.
I propose using unoiled material for that internal part and then external vent holes will have the possibility to work.

Not sure if this is an issue on the UHF work cuts, but on the western's collar fastening using a very tiny button through a very thick section of fabric is harder to do up than just about any XHS/UHR jeans I've had. At least it is on the 340-OD. I know there's the known issue about work shirt buttons popping out, but I can't even get it fastened on the collar in some cases, especially while wearing. Not a big deal since I only rarely do up the collar but it is nice on chilly mornings.

We are moving to new buttons on our FW24 UHFs, I havent checked but assume those new ones will also be on the western top buttons. I can check when back from the USA tomorrow

@pechelman I’ve wondered about this many, many times. I never button the top button when I’m wearing a shirt, but I do when I hang them up, because it keeps the collar from getting too squished out of shape in the closet. Those tiny buttons are soooooo hard to fasten.

@popvulture @pechelman I own a very thick 19 oz. chino shirt from Nine Lives and the top button is absolutely impossible to fasten. They stuff the very top of the placket with a thick material which gives it a 0% chance of achieving closure.

All this to say the top button may be more decor than function on these thick fabrics, as annoying as it can be.

a slightly larger button or one that's sewn on less tightly to the placket face might actually make it work

Context for others: Made this coat loop for the IHJ-08 which like many other jackets didn't have a coat loop using a little bit of some waxed cotton laces I had.

@pechelman @jordanscollected you don’t see it on a typical pearl snap western shirt, but other than tradition, would there be a reason why it couldn’t be a snap? Could be a structural thing.

You know what the problem is? None of the other jackets I know has a tag that you can use as a loop to attach a proper loop such as the 08 🤷🏽‍♂️

Funny enough though, the IHJ-79 (which I own) has a coat loop and if I had to guess, the new Primaloft jacket that Haraki-san is working on might have one too.

I'd prefer for it to be a snap personally, but figured there's some reason Haraki-san does it the way he does it with western collars being buttoned vs cpo collars with snaps (i.e. doesnt seem like it's a structural issue to me). Either way, sounds like this may be making its way in 2024?

This way you could easily see the information you wanted. I have no idea how that would be possible, and maybe there is a way that my computer can do it, but thought I would ask.
