@mclaincausey I found this video about the Tonda.

And here's another from Time and Tide looking at the Tonda range of watches.

@Graeme thanks for all of your feedback and suggestions.

One of the things I like about the BB54 is the dimensions. It sits much more comfortably on my wrist than a Sub.

If I were to consider Rolex, it would be the Explorer but I have an Omega Railmaster from 2009, and although clearly the Rolex is a better watch, didn’t differentiate itself enough to my untrained eye when I look to rotate what I’m wearing. I can also buy the Tudor now as opposed to waiting months/years for the Explorer.

The Glashutte and Seamaster are both very nice, but the BB still ticks more boxes for me.

Thanks so much for the time taken to give me feedback. You clearly have a much greater knowledge and experience of watches than me, so I always learn plenty from you when reading your comments on this thread.

Has the brand Isotope been mentioned? I keep looking at their watches and I love their style.

          Ohhhhhh that constitutional stitching!

@joephoto I’d never heard of them until you posted. Some fun designs and a decent price point.

@IrishHeart glad to help and was just giving you a few more options. Not that you need them. 😁

I think that Omega is probably ahead on movements, but Rolex makes better cases and bracelets.

@Graeme thanks; approaching the platonic ideal of a minimalist dual time watch.

The Chopard are not traveller's GMT, they are "caller's GMT". It's a completely different functionality.

The best GMT implementation is that of Ulysses Nardin. They have produced a number of versions over the years, but it's a true traveller's GMT, where the home time appears in a window (on a 24hr scale), and the local time can be increased or decreased in 1hr increments with 2 pushers, and a date slaved to the local time, as it should. Here is my favorite (which also has an innovative crown function selector and an enamel dial):

@Giles I like the Aquanauts too, but unless you've got blackmail photos of the AD or are in Thierry Stern's good books, you're unlikely to get one. I'd probably get the Chronograph instead, though.

@Giles do you want me to to have a word with Thierry, he fixed me up with a 5712 Nautilus last time he and I met up.

I am sure he could rustle up and Aquanaut travel time for you. 🙂

@jeffrx the 58 is a nice watch and it was a close call for me between that and the 54.

@IrishHeart, I got the 58 before the 54 came out, otherwise it would have been a close call. Can’t go wrong either way I’d say.
