@endo I just don’t find them interesting,or compelling and they’re all really super talented great players. I tried, but I couldn’t get through the song you posted, and I started out liking it. I have liked them on occasion when they’ve done theme shows, like all Doors songs or a Jimi Hendrix night.

@Jett129 oh I saw them at Healing Appalachia back in September. It was a good jam to hangout to I guess. I hate to call it 'background music' but it was good for what we were doin at the time.

@WhiskeySandwich Similarly,my favorite guitar player, these days, is Derek Trucks, and for the life of me I just can't get into the Tedeschi-Trucks Band. Loved him with The Allman Bros, and Clapton, but to me this is like Bonnie Rait with the Allman Bros.

Liking what I've heard so far of the Andre 3000 record that came out today( but I also have a soft spot for vibey new age music)

Stumbled onto this. Guitar player for Big Thief. Kind of atmospheric and I thought it sounded really interesting. @GraemeE @popvulture younguys for sure might like it.
-
I like him! Very cool guitar player, especially.
-
How come you guys didn't tell me there was a new Queens of the Stone Age album out?! Still working my way through it but the intro and polyrhythm on this track is super catchy.
-
I pretty much live under a rock.
-
@GraemeE I'm not getting it. this is background music for when you are walking through a conservatory.
-
@jordanscollected @GraemeE That was NOT at all what I expected. But preconceptions aside, about both Andre 3000's music history and conservatory music, I actually dig it. And, on second thought, I shouldn't have been so surprised Andre actually put out an album like this.
-
@jordanscollected you aren't wrong
Edit: I am a big outkast fan and this is definately not that
I don't see myself wanting to own a physical copy of this but I can imagine multiple scenarios that would be complimented by having this playing -
X-Post for theWabbidashery-The Heritage Heaven Tour and theVinyl thread.
We found this 12‘ inch Vinyl in our record shop.
Hearing this in the late 80‘ …I often wondered about this short mixed in tune at 7:52-7:55.
Nowadays I guess to know it …
It could be the opening theme of Wagner- Ryde of the Valkyries (The Ring)?
Listen to it from the start until 0:20.Perhaps someone can confirm. Found nothing on the www about it.
