666 XHS should be 25oz, the arches on the pockets are not noticeable, there is no brand on buttons

Yeah sorry. I noticed that and deleted my post.

It's very difficult to tell. But the denim does not look like 25oz to me.

We may have done some with stealth arcs and we may have done some with unbranded buttons, I can't remember

It looks like the arcs were picked out? Or they are stealthy? Looks like they used to be there. Weird the W is backwards because it looks "real".

If I saw the unbranded fly button my gut reaction would be fake, but then there are the WKS button rivets and the care label that all look very authentic. I too thought the arcs had been picked out but that might be my eyesight.

@Giles to your knowledge, have any QC failed pairs ever made it onto the secondary market? This pair is weird, and while I'm by no means an expert there's enough detail to seem authentic while the unbranded buttons and back-to-front "W" make it seem like a QC dud?

I noticed the different gauge thread used on the pockets and belt loops vs. the waist band and yoke. That seems like a detail that someone out for a quick buck would ignore. But then why the 21oz patch instead of XHS patch. Did this ever happen in past production runs? Lots of odd things going on...

Ooh, this one’s weird. The denim also does not look like it’s 25 oz. Looks lightweight.

TW had the W facing the other way and the copper colored buttons. Different arcs too so without them here it’s still a possibility.

Very interesting. It doesn’t account for the other “issues” though (eg. copper buttons, backwards W and apparent thickness).

1. Denim doesn't look right
2. W facing wrong direction
3. button on jean being unbranded
4. wrong tag

I give anyone of those a chance at being legitimate, but all of them together and I have my doubts.

Ohh yea, no doubts there are still questions, but Your find is the first solid clue of any sort so far.

@Oaktavia I bought them secondhand, they are in excellent condition, I saw similar buttons in models for Indonesia, the denim does not look 21 ounces as indicated on the patch, perhaps some kind of lightweight version. the seller explained that this is a collaboration. but the workmanship matches the true iron heart

@Alexey164 ...to be honest, my gut is screaming these are fake and I hope you didn't pay too much.

Edit...and I don't put a lot of faith in the "collaboration" story to explain all of the red flags.

@goosehd I paid $200 for them, but again, judging by the quality of the seams, denim, salvage edges, it seems like this is some kind of special version

Ask what the "special" collaboration was. If it was a lightweight collab, there is virtually zero chance it would be stamped XHS.
