@goosehd this should be in kit form if not already. I actually could use some Buffalo Trace right now just thinking about it. The first sounds will be made September 5th so I have some scheming planning to do

If memory serves me correct the sound in the early stages of trombone playing are rivaled only by clarinet - it's dying moose vs dying goose

Our three are all grown, our oldest getting married this weekend. My wife says things like, I'd love another. I say, it would put in a wooden over coat. On a side note, my youngest has got the Iron Heart bug, so alls right the balance is restored.

I've never known panic like the split second yesterday while I was changing a nappy full of a particularly stinky and sticky crap, and she reached down, grabbed the corner of the soiled nappy, and tried to fling it overhead. I dropped her legs and caught her arm just in time.

I never thought I'd wish for the breast-milk poos to come back, but compared to the actual human faeces that is produced by an almost-fully-weaned diet, I'd take those any day.

                      Take the dive...

been lurking here for a while, thought I'dd make my first contribution.

I'm a single dad with a 5 and a 7y old and while they can be a hand full, I never thought I would enjoy being a dad this much. Didn't realy like kids before (still don't exept my own tbh)

A couple tips I wish I knew earlier:

                              • When you get to the 'why' phase, always answer with: 'why do you think?' this let's them think first and then you can start a conversation about stuff, with them actualy learning.
                              • Bedtime will sometimes be a nightmare and sometimes a breeze but stick with a solid routine and don't stray otherwise you get them running around at all hours of the night
                              • Give them responsability around the house (feed the cat - empty the dishwasher - open the curtains - etc. ) the more they feel like they are part of the team, the more respect they will have for all the stuff you do.
                              • Let diner just be diner, not a reward system for eating 3 bites or dessert if they finish their plate. make it clear that this is what you made and if they don't want it, they don't eat. Try making food with them and eat at the same time as them. First days will be hell but now they eat (almost) everything I place infront of them.
-Realize your kids are usualy not suicidal maniacs and are ok at spotting danger themselves. That being said, going on a bikeride trough the city with them is one of the most stressfull things I can think off
