Has anyone ever suggested polo-shirts? I went to a lawyers conference yesterday and was very overdressed (and hot) in a suit, compared to the majority of guys who were rocking cooler fabrics like linens and polos. I'm finding that since the pandemic office-wear standards have become more relaxed and a polo T-shirt with a collar is very acceptable.

If they were a go-er, I'd like the option of long sleeves too, as I like to keep the tats (a) covered in the office and (b) protected from the sun whenever I can.

Colour wise, I'd be game for all the classics. Black/charcoal, navy, olive, white, ecru...

I guess then that I'm asking for a re-run of the polos, and a long-sleeve option.

I'd second the polo suggestion but would prefer a polo with a more subtle logo. Or no logo at all

When they were reruns again had a problem being wider rather than longer.
That was the last of it being available in Gosport

@Tago-Mago - as someone in a similar position to @EdH and having to go ‘smart casual’ a lot, I would love a re-run of a polo shirt.

IIRC some years ago there was the idea of doing some kind of smart shirting line under a different branding then IH, that however never came to fruition, do not recall the reason why it was. Still love the idea.

First run was great, second run was shite. We asked to adjust back the pattern, didn't get much traction in Japan so we moved on.

I want both more raglans and polos! Still kick myself for missing both.

@tody cut and sewn in general is a tough area for us at the moment, with increasing costs in Japan and a smaller workforce. I would say this has more likelihood than polos in the short term, but no promises
