@Madame-Buttonfly finds another new place to enjoy the day.......
…just after she pulled on eight fender covers?!
North-north-west, Bahia de Palma with its beautiful view into the Serra de Tramuntana. Enjoy Palma!

@goosehd Captain Padwash ( Brits of a certain age should get the connection)

Left Ibiza at 15:00 yesterday, was not looking forwards to another night of drum and base.... Now 21 hours into our journey to Gibraltar. Weather and seas have been beautiful. @Madame-Buttonfly on her 3rd 2 hour watch.....

Brilliant. Pure bliss.

Spent a little bit of time completing the anchor bridle....
Stainless steel hard-eye spliced into the centre of 30-metre length of 4mm 8 braid nylon...
Then I had to make the pendant that attaches the anchor chain (or rope) to the bridle...
I basically made a "dog-bone" out of 8mm 12-strand Dyneema and integrated a 64-strand Dyneema chafe-guard at the point where it wraps around the chain (in the image below, it is attached to the anchor rope with a "cats-paw" knot). This then is attached to the bridle with a 10mm 12-strand Dyneema soft-shackle....

Beautiful splicing work @Giles .

Looks like a lot of fun

I now know you’re getting old and can’t believe you denied a bunch of coked up teenagers the opportunity of a lifetime to party with Capt. Bootylicious and his band of Merry Marauders by leaving port early.

Amazing view G! How are things so far?
-
The passage to Gibraltar was amazing. Took us about 43 hours. It was a tad over 400 miles.
We lost power to the port engine coming into Gibraltar, we think it is probably a fuel flow issue, but the diagnostics say "call a Volvo Penta engineer".
We are currently moored up in Le Línea (Spain) going through Spanish exit formalities. Once that is sorted, we will motor around the corner and take a berth in Gibraltar proper.
We'll get the engine and the AIS looked at there.....

@Giles nice picture and what a ride! Hope the engine thingy will be fixed soon, have a nice trip G!
