I'm sure there are ways the categories could be improved but at the end of the day this game gives me a chance to talk about music and hear new things so, even though I'm holding up the bottom of the ranking, it's absolutely a win in my book

I joined another open league as well. First round was "Songs you would use to introduce someone to a band or musician"

Couple of other potential categories: “Teenage Dream” - songs you that you loved as a teenager that you still love.
Or “Sexual Healing” - songs you use to seduce your partners (just cause I’ll take any help I can in that department)

@jerkules I can't speak for the seduction category but in my experience going with deep cuts from either steely dan or rush will do the trick if you are looking for the opposite effect

While Rush is absolute chick repellent, I haven’t found that to be the case with the Dan, but JJ Cale’s “Troubadour” is a nookie generating machine

@mclaincausey I think the repellent factor for the dan may be more due to having to hear a bunch of guys babble on to eachother about chord voicings or keyboard/guitar tones

I can neither confirm nor deny being a party to such shenanigans in the past....

I hope many of you are indeed feeling guilty looking at the latest playlist, although I find it hard to believe we will generate a more enjoyable list throughout the whole competition - game on!

I’ve used the iPhone app SongShift to transfer the playlist to Apple Music - 2 minute job.

@scooter I was thinking pretty much the same thing. I’m about halfway through after my morning commute and there’s a real mix of genius and nasty (sometimes both at once)!

For me, a "guilty pleasure" is something you enjoy despite it being from a source you might consider a bit dubious. The audio equivalent of a late-night doner kebab - delicious & enjoyable, but for some reason slightly shameful. I'm voting simply by how enjoyable I find the song, regardless of embarrassment in admitting I like said song.

The way I voted for the challenge was if I thought the song was something that is I felt was well-known and one "should" be ashamed to like--would your mates give you a good ribbing if it came on and you busted out a vocal or otherwise demonstrated anything but disdain for it? Nickelback, Britney Spears, etc.

Sometimes I like the song, sometimes I don't. But to me if voting is strictly based on what we like/dislike as opposed to how well it fits the challenge, this game will get old really fast.

I think we should add downvotes--if not possible for this round, perhaps for the next one. Thoughts?
