Giles and Paula's Great Retirement Adventure

Today, as we were leaving the hotel, @Madame-Buttonfly spied a Sasga 54 coming into the bay. We surmised it must be hull 53, which we saw a couple of days ago, so we hot-tailed it to the dock where we last saw it. We got there just in time to see her being berthed, we were invited on board to take a look. I did not take that many pics, I think P did.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know this is the wrong thread @goosehd

She’s going to be a beaut, Giles! You two must be so excited.
I was just chatting with @Cutlasshound (I was thanking him for the amazing phone case he gifted me) and he asked me how my trip to Menorca went.
I answered:
Every time I see the boat, it does the opposite of disappoint
There are not a lot of things that do that......

and I like the camera mounted so you can keep an eye on the area when you're underway. That's pretty smart!!
As I suspected, they cant be bothered to take it out, so it's staying and we don't have to pay for it

I was looking for some info on Pilgrim this morning, so went here:

And lo and behold, some recent pics of the old gal, had been uploaded....

Easy Shorts FTW...
Vessel Finder is a thing. You can track anything that has AIS (Automatic Identification System) installed and operational. In the past year or so, certain Russian oligarchs' yachts AIS systems have mysteriously stopped working, and the yachts have gone dark...

I guess he hangs around waiting for naval yachts to photograph, and takes pics of anything else whilst he is waiting. Both those pics are on the Gosport side of the harbour, but only a few 100 meters from where the big grey boys play....

have you handed over pilgrim to the new owners yet?
