This shirt looks really cool. Assuming it sells well, it would be nice to have a second iteration where the cord collar is replaced by a leather one.

Finally came about 30 minutes ago. What a great shirt. Like I said earlier Cool as Duck. Took these pictures right out of the bag,really quick indoors without a flash,so color and focus are a little off,but you get the idea.

With the longer sleeves @Jett129 I've found that you can wear a long shirt underneath, like a waffle henley, and get that tres satisfying feeling of pulling those inner sleeves down further too.  This is a great piece.  Wear it in good health!

Has anyone ever tried to use Otterwax or the like on Iron Heart's duck fabric? I have used it on an old Pointer chore coat. It looked amazing. Wondering what might happen with IH gear.

I’ve tried otter wax on an old Gustin waxed trucker jacket. Didn’t like the outcome and otter wax stinks to high heaven. Ymmv

Duck canvas in general takes wax very well. It was the original waxed fabric seeing as it was used for making sails. Waxing was used so the sails would give greater wind resistance making them more effective. Old sails were then cut up to make waterproof clothing, headgear etc.

The relatively flat, even face of duck canvas means the wax takes to the fabric in a pleasing way. Waxing slubby denim for example, while having a waterproofing effect is going to look like a dogs dinner.

I’ve seen IH duck that has been waxed on the threads here from back in the day, but I can’t remember from when or where. Use the search function and you should find something.

Just ordered one of these this morning. I always liked the idea of the pockets on the shirt and have been looking at the denim one for a couple years. I couldn’t justify yet another denim shirt so when I saw this one I had to go for it.
