IH-526-ODG "Party Jacket Tour"

I started my leg of the tour with a trip to Nordschwarzwald with my whole family this weekend, visiting my cousin for his 50th birthday.
We rented a small townhouse in Bad Wildbach, which is a small and absolutely lovely and idyllic town in the middle of the hills and woods, I can totally recommend to visit. It's absolutely perfect for hiking, biking or just relaxing.Party was on Saturday evening so we had some time for sightseeing during the day.
As expected it was way to warm to wear the jacket for this, so it had to stay home.
We took the rack railway up the Sommerberg, walked on the treetop walkway and went up the tower to enjoy the amazing view.

On our way back we came across the German E-Bike Championships where I took some action shots. It was quite fun.
On this day we walked about 11km. It was great to see my dad to walk it with an ease. He's 84. Great man!

Part 2
On the evening we finally went to the party. Time to rock the party jacket!
OK, to be honest, I immediately took the jacket off as we left the house. Still way too warm.My cousins friend brought his "tiny" grill. Beef and pork - in total 35 kg.

"Fortunately" there was a short thunder storm in the night and the temperatures went down quite a bit.
So jacket finally was worn for it's actual purpose = party!
Obviously I had a few beers too much, so I didn't party hard with the jacket. To be honest, I barely moved at all ::) -

Yes, second heat wave just arrived down here. It‘s going to be a bit cooler on the weekend. Hope to rock the jacket a bit then.

Sorry for being so quiet lately.
It has been way too hot to wear the jacket.
However, last weekend I visited my fellow buddy @illo59 in Hamburg and spent some great days up north.On Friday we went to see Turbonegro with some friends. The jacket had to stay home for this:
Before the concert we had a stop over at Brewdog for Burgers and of course some beer.
I can highly recommend the Dead Pony Club [emoji1419]Afterwards we had some beers at St. Pauli corner.
I‘m no member of the Turbojugend so I wore my IH battle vest.
A couple of beers and other drinks we finally made to the concert.
It was quite fun. Those guys now how to rock.

After a long night and an unknown number of beers we started the next das with a late pizza breakfast:
Later we went for a walk through Hafen city and spent some hours in a park with our a friend, our wives and Olli‘s baby son.
I cant go to Hamburg without having at least one bottle of Ratsherrn. [emoji1419]

Sunday, our last day we spent at Timmendorfer Strand at the baltic sea. Pretty nice place even though it‘s quite touristy and crowded.
Finally the jacket got some action. It also perfectly matches my new swimming shorts [emoji28]
There is no trip to northern Germany without a Frischbrötchen:

I think this was a worthy finale for my leg of the tour and it‘s time to pass it to next one.

Nothing to be sorry about @don_pipone this is amazing stuff. Pickled herring, Turboneger, beer, small children, awesome outfits… these posts have it all. Sie German leg of this tour has been fekkin' ace. I salute you.

Ah great, still tired from the weekend, hangovers seem to last longer these days haha. had a lot of fun and fully agree with @neph93 - pickled herring rolls are best, don't miss it!

We do great things with pickled herring in Norway. Mostly jars with chunks of it in different sauces and marinades like vinegar, onion and rosepepper, tomato and onion or even a curry an yoghurt sauce. But I really like roll mops or while fillet like in the pic. Another reason to get back to Germany.

@illo59 I wasn't in Hamburg last weekend but now I am. So unfortunately I can't make it to the Allgäu. But we definitely need to hang out soon.
