Babyboys sleeping and it’s a rainy evening so i have some time to give a update - Here‘s a small summary of the last 2 days.
As all of us know when it‘s monday and we gotta go back to the coal mines of hard work free time is very appreciated and rare. Yesterday i packed my swimming bag before work to go for a after work swim, normally i go before work but i had to start early.
I work as a social worker for a foundation who looks after handicapped people of all ages and all sorts of different handicaps. Part of my job is to take part of quality circles and speak with our clients and talk with them about how satisfied they are with staff and service and what can be optimized. Sometimes interesting, sometimes lengthy, always different, always sweets and coffee.
My old school „pen & paper“ calendar, Midori pencil and leftover lunch…
After a long day i stopped at my pool & i realized they are closed on monday evenings. Bummer. I decided to do another good thing for my body
At home i prepared meals for the evening and watched the last episode of GOT with wifey.
Today i got up even earlier to finally jump into the pool. Me attended at 6:30 AM.

Swimming routine was followed by pumping my favorite Pantera LP in the car on my way to another quality circle at work and some boring office routine:

Back at home i enjoyed some quality time with baby boy, he is 6 months old and the coolest dude i‘ve ever met in my live. He really cheers up everything & i never was able to imagine how happy a kid would make me.
As happy as he makes me when he is awake - i am also happy when he is asleep and i finally can enjoy mama & daddy time with a piece of the tasty banana bread she made today [emoji108]
Another thing on the jacket: The whipcord is one of my fav IH fabrics, so tough but comfortable. I‘m really tempted to get one of that jackets for myself…

Btw, Hamburg is a great city. My wife and I went there for 4-5 days for the Christmas Market back in 2016. Actually, we went to Bäderland while we were there! My wife is Japanese, so she loves saunas and spas… but, she want prepaired for full-nude co-ed saunas. It didn't help her nervousness that I also kept whispering "Ich bin nackt", lol!

i can imagine, sounds a bit funny though. in which bäderland did you go? there are some really nice saunas. hamburg is great and very beautiful- but in the last years i got a bit tired of the big city and over-hectic people having a bad mood. -
Little update. Not very much going on, much work, short nights. But my buddy and me had good reads and workouts:

Was so tired that i thought about skipping late night swim-training - but ended up here:
Another part of my job: Visit families at home that want/need some support f.e. intervention, advice and therapies, social and pedagogical family assistance. Sometimes i need to use dirty elevators to get there.
Went for a haircut from a good friend of mine, he cuts hair for his dudes every week and we can listen to heavy metal, drink beer and talk shit:
Another locker room selfie from today morning, followed by not so interesting work stuff and coffee and a party our company/foundation does every year for the employees, but we left early, cause i‘m invited to a wedding tomorrow and have some stuff to pack:
But as weekend hast officially started i found some time for a tasty IPA and a read, true party animal:
Partyjacket is coming with me to the wedding, so i think that‘s pretty OK for the first week of the tour. Have nice weekend folks!

Alright, time for a small update before i hit work… the wedding was great, relatively small and pretty non-formal. I started to pack my stuff and was picked up by a good friend of mine. Partyjacket and me had a beer in the car and some others when we arrived.
The location happened to be at a sea where the couple had some boats for us to wait and everybody was invited for a small tour. Great idea imo, everybody enjoyed it!
We stopped somewhere to have another 1 or two drinks before we returned and enjoyed a great dinner and a relaxed and pleasant party.
We had to draw our neighbor For some kind of guest book. Heres the piece of art i did:
After a short night we had a tasty breakfast at the room we booked and returned home to celebrate our hangover. Bye bye nice sea!
Oh yeah and i went to vote, as we had EU election.
On monday we had nice weather so i took the chance and made my working day through hamburg by bike. Some impressions following.
Had a tasty beer at a friends place after work and made „wrapped vegans“ for dinner
Only one pic from yesterday as almost the whole day looked like this. Hamburg seems to be one big construction site with everybody stuck in traffic

@don_pipone - i realized i‘d have the jacekt for about 2 month when i hand it to you in august - so i might ship it to you a bit earlier. Also i wasn‘t able to wear the tour jacket as much as i wanted to because it got really warm here, so there are more beer pics than jacket pics. Week was full of work, there wasn‘t that much to photograph but here are some impressions from the last days:
Tried a aspargus - strawberry salad on friday - 110% recommended! Great stuff!
Tried our best to force babyboy to become a professional death metal drummer - at least: we tried!
Cooked a meal, had a beer, got us some ice cream and finally got to wear the tour jacket again
Reflections Edition:
Another beer pic from Berg, one of my fav breweries in southern germany, right around the corner where my parents in law live, they use locally grown ingredients and i never had a bad beer from Berg!
We spent the weekend at my parents place so i had an espresso in the morning and packed the car - and enjoyed the green where i grew up:
My parents love to grow all kinds of vegetables and food so we had to help them eat all those nice and tasty strawberries…
After some hard training on „how to walk“ and some lazy home office my dad served us a tasty BBQ and we also had some decent beers together.
And as summer decided to finally break out we were invited to another BBQ at dome good friends place - but first i had a swim:
After we got home, un-packed the car and put baby boy to sleep i enjoyed some last IPA‘s with mama and realized i might have focused on my beer-gains a bit too mich the last weeks. I‘ll try and take a step back on this…
That‘s it for now - I hope to wear the jacket a few times more next week and will be able to serve some more pics of this. Also i‘m debating with myself what patch I‘ll sew on that one. Wifey said every patched jacket needs a „Slayer“ patch … [emoji848]

Decided to use the few minutes spare time to browse my pictures and share them here - Not much going on, most days are packed with work, swimming in the morning, entertaining babyboy and trying to go to bead early… some highlights here and there like our weekend trip to southern germany to visit my parents in law and to see Rammstein with some dear friends!
We made a stop halfway cause we‘re not into 9-10 hour drives. Mama took the opportunity for some shopping, the boys took selfies... and visited a playground.
The next day daddy in law served cold beer when we arrived. As he lives in a small village (only 60 people living there) it is really quiet and peacefully. And the scenery invites for long walks. Babyboy loves it so much he always sleeps all the time…
Took the tourjacket with me, was a bit windy here and there, had to share it with mama in the end and that‘s the first time when she was exited about IH and refused to take off the jacket.
Her shoes tell that she‘s a professional hiker:
Sunday = Rammstein. It‘s not my fav band but it was about 20 years ago and i never saw them live so i had to get a ticket. Even when it‘s not my preferred music anymore the show was great and packed with fire and explosions. Great entertainment and some of the new tunes were really catchy. Meet our dear friends from Munich and hab a blast: @don_pipone sporting full IH Heavy Metal Festival Body Armour…
Had to change the tour jacket for my battle vest (attention to the nice photo bomb skills)

Last weekend we had the christening feast for our boy. It was a great weekend, lots of great food and much family hangouts plus: weather was great the last days, summer kicks in in full effect. The negative effect: the tour month for me is almost over and i‘ll pass the jacket over to @don_pipone who is next in line. Some impressions for you:

Packed some essentials for the trip to the family base and visited a good friend who lives on the way home. We used to make party a lot during studies, now it‘ all about dadlife in full effect, feels great!
When we arrived at my parents place we started to make salads for the family BBQ, and made some cake. Don‘t forget to drink enough in the heat and hang out as much as possible in the garden

Part II
Wifeys Cousin is the most talented musician i know, our boy was fascinated. My brother joined the party with his son and wife and i prepared a BBQ for us. I love when the family comes together in the summer, quality time! Even better with some beers from my collection.
On Sunday we continued to celebrate at the church and continued to stuff ourself with great food. Only thing that i‘ll never understand is that the while family gets crazy with presents for the kids.
