Do you guys in the very warm parts of the US not even need a light jacket in the evenings?

I agree that it has sold well generally, though surprised how few blacks have sold compared to the other two colours. We did expect them to sell better given the hype on here recently, but like I said yesterday that's why we often get numbers wrong

Makes me wonder if this has more to do with what staples people already have in their wardrobes. I like black but I already have the IHxSE od type III and the ihm-20 (though it doesn't appear black), so having a black corduroy type III would've felt redundant. Khaki, on the other hand, is one of those colors missing in my closet.

I lived in Arizona, one of the hottest places in the US, a large portion of my life. No jacket necessary at night in Phoenix if it’s summer. Other places further north need them though.

For me, the khaki opens up a whole new look, as all my other jackets are black or cordovan leather or black or indigo denim.

And from the fit pics so far, the khaki looks great, with a kind of vintage, even cowboyish, vibe.

I feel the same about khaki, it has a vintage vibe about it that I really dig.

Same. I showed it to my mother (lol) and she said that back when she was young (60’s-70’s), “the cool kids would wear a khaki corduroy jacket, just like that one.” she told me I should get it.

                You always listen to mama.

                What would Jesus wear?

I thought ,for sure, the blacks would’ve done significantly better. When I got the “Try again later” message,I thought I was going to get shut out. It seems like everyone on the Forum who was clamoring for one was able to get one.

                      No.

Today is windy and freakishly cold, (60F) so I'm wearing a light jacket, but I don't expect to need a jacket again until October, maybe November.

@manufc10 Na bro, already tried that. They dont allow us to do that in Australia unless its had a delivery attempt.. I guess different countries have different policies.. I guess I still get it, just longer waits.. The part that sucks! haha!!

You can ask us to deliver to a UPS store or other access point, rather than your address.  But you have to do that at time of order.

We prefer that, as it costs less.  🙂

Yep..that's the point I was trying to make when I said no such thing exists in reference to a spring/summer jacket. Spring/summer jacket is a bit of an oxymoron round these parts lol.

I also think that khaki is arguably more versatile than the black. It looks so good with indigo/blue jeans and IMO even better with a black pair of jeans particularly if they have a white weft. I wore my khaki IHJ-61 whipcord work jacket with my 777S-21 black jeans quite a bit towards the end of winter and it just works….looks great

The desert does cool down some at night, though.  Not enough to need a jacket, I'll concede.  The standard Texas summer is more like 95F in the day, 85F at night, 90% humidity.  Living in a swamp sucks.

Not that I'm trying to argue I have it worse, mind you.  Phoenix is not pleasant.

It does still get a little cool at night in Phx during the spring for sure. Plus I'm a wuss for cold weather even though I love it…the irony.

Btw...it's such a cliche but I really do believe a dry heat is so much more bearable than humidity. So @Chris you actually do have it worse than me IMO.

i'm the opposite. I get warm very easily so cold weather is a must for me. I can't take humid weather at all. Once it starts I begin sweating like a mofo.

100% agree. I’m from the desert and suffer immensely during the summer in the northeast.
