Picked this up a few months ago because both of my kids love to write and have writing aspirations. Some of my favorite writers insisted on using a manual typewriter and I’m a believer. I learned to type from my grandmother who was a military secretary during WW2. She taught me on an older model than this with glass topped keys, one I wish I still had but she must have sold or traded it along the way. This is a 1954 Smith Corona Sterling. It’s a really fun machine.

@Daniel-San @tody wow thats a lot of information on “@“ ! I like the document from 1345 that had it. Damn, the fact I knew what “@“ meant before the digital revolution is making me feel old.

I’m a sucker for a chambray shirt. Picked up this workshirt at a vintage market today. Not sure when they stopped putting the tag on the front but I like it. I own the western version and been eyeing this one for a bit now. Gently worn and a good price.
