Every year I swear that I’m done with big trees and every year I do it again….

yes, me too. Interesting to see you starting to decorate the tree that eary. We usually do it the night before Christmas.

This living room definitely needs a big tree!

The night before!?!?  We get our tree the day after TG and it’s Xmas until Jan 2, hard stop.

We also start making LOTS of cookies…

Speaking of making cookies, we had our annual christmas cookie baking with the family today. Some of our production.

Two types of fir are normally used as xmas trees,  noble and fraser. The fraser has the shorter, spikier, needles, the noble has longer, softer ones. The fraser loses its needles easily and the noble does not with watering.

Not sure about the English name but I think it’s called caucasian fir that is commonly here as a christmas tree

Advent sunday dinner with the fam. This is a Neph tradition as opposed to a Norwegian tradition and was born from my need to master Norwegian xmas cooking through practice. Pork ribs, with white sausage, sauerkraut and other stuff…
