Think this is be my next UHF, really curious how it is in hand, still remembering how the 20th anni stunned me in hand..

Feels softer to the touch than the Anny shirt, both inside and out.

      Take the dive...

I really think it has something to do with the herringbone weave. I picked up last seasons herringbone and it was the softest of all my UHFs, even being new,(and some of my others are from 2016 with lots of wear) it’s only gotten softer with wear.

I grabbed one of these as well and it’s just as soft as last years! These herringbone heavies are truly something special.

Might be because the anniversary uhf is overdyed whereas this fabric is unwashed?

One of the things I look forward to with IH is, although it looks marvelous online I know it’s gonna look even better in person and, every time you guys manage to take that expectation and exceed it still! Thank you

Big thank you to @JoshC for finding me the perfect shirt, it fits exactly the way I was hoping it would. I couldn’t be happier! Thanks dude!

Yep! Well actually wearing mine right now. Just got home for work and popped it on. Fits like a dream. Such a good feeling to come home after work and wearing it to lounge around in. It's the work shirt version though, I'm about to post photos there.

How’s everyone seeing the sizing to this one?  Looks like I’m falling more to an XXL in the western as opposed to my normal XL.  New to IH and trying to understand how common it is to be between sizes.

Very common. When you say “normal XL”, what do you mean? Is that what you normally take in other brands? If so which ones?

Comparing with other brands is not a wise move. IH uses western-ish sizing, but that is an arbitrary concept, without established standards.

The only way forward is to measure comparable shirts you own and that fit you, using the same measure if method IH do. That should give you transferable data. Compare to the sizing charts and find the closest fit.

Sorry should have clarified. I normally am an XL in IH from the few shirts I own but the measurements on this one like up more to me being an XXL. I was wondering if that was common for others with IH shirting. Meaning sometimes you are one size and another time another.

@jfk1117 I can’t speak for others but for me it’s very common that I may be in different tag sizes from time to time. As @neph93 said, the best thing you can do is take measurements off the shirts that you really like the fit of then use those numbers to find the tag size that falls into those measurements best.

Tag size is just that, the tagged size,  it kinda means something and nothing at the same time. Numbers are king. I have shirts in XL, XXL and XXXL and believe it or not they all fit pretty similar.

I understand now. These are pretty standard UHF measurements. UHF’s often come on a little smaller than IH westerns in other fabrics. I could still take my normal size, but many size up. This is especially wise with UHF’s as they can shrink with a warmer wash.

I was in the same situation. Had a IH flannel in size XL. Looked at the sizing chart and needed and XXL for this one too. For the western shirt, definitely go one size up!

As if you weren't going to do that already by now :p

Bought an XXL that was a bit oversized on the length and sleeve. Washed it in 60° C lost approximately 1cm on sleeve and 2cm on length. Size is perfect now. I think it shrank about half a size like it says in description.
