Jeans took a bit of a beating yesterday quad biking and as we went straight to the beach afterwards, I thought id give them a rinse in the sea. Gave them a mild wash in the machine when I got home.

These have become my go-to jeans. They are just extraordinarily comfortable and very hard wearing as well.

Ideally I’d like a pair of jeans with a similar top block, but tighter legs - especially below the knee. But if the top block is the most important part which IH cut would be the closest one? I’m thinking 555, but I can’t really figure out how much the narrow thighs change the feel of the top block?

Sick pair of pants. Just got mine and love them. Anyone know what cut these are closest to? Love the low rise and the roomy thigh. Will be posting pics soon. Still getting used to the forum here.

            Buckle back. Nothing cooler.

              777. The work pant top block is based on the 634 and the 777 top block is much closer to the 634 than the 555.

Closest to the 634. It basically is the 634 but with different pockets, hardware etc.

40 years ago, Wrangler jeans had this cut. Only without back-cinch and back pockets and they were in bell bottoms 🙂 ;)very comfortable jeans. And those slant front pockets were something special and comfortable. In Czechoslovakia at the time, they were a real bargain. I can't wait to get them.

Sorry, I missed the reply, Neph.

Now that is a surprise - when looking  at the numbers I thought front and back rises were a lot closer to the 555. My problem is that I don’t have the opportunity to try on the 555. I love the look of the 777, and I have two pairs, but these get more wear, simply because I have more mobility in them, partly due to the low back rise, partly because of the more restrictive top block.

To be fair, these are a special case. The cinch back will increases the rise quite a bit.

Granted. It is indeed a unique design.

But thanks for pointing me towards the 634. I did some more snooping around, and I actually think the 633 may be what I’m looking for. Unfortunately it is sold out from Selfedge.

Does anyone know if the cinch helps keep the part of the pants between the back belt loop and side belt loops held up?
I bend over a lot at work and my belt always ends up above the top of my pants.
