I'm bringing a carry-on and backpack as well. Wife is doing the same. Inside the carry-on I'll have a rolled up Patagonia duffel. On the way home We'll probably check both bags and carry on the duffel and backpacks.

Bringing 2 carry ons, once I remove the container of peanut butter filled pretzel pillows for @Madame Buttonfly  I may have room.
