Which all people on Gosport were and still are mortified about.
Now the nearest hospital is about 15 miles away.....

Hopefully there will, at some point ,be some live streaming for those of us that can’t make it.
Hey Jett - we tried that before and it was quite unsuccessful. Not to say that we can't try again, but it's quite hard to capture the event well whilst its all spread out around multiple buildings and gardens.
. Maybe a thread where people can post pictures and short videos would be cool.

That is what this is for, is it not?

@Chap the pressure is on me now. If you are looking for some fish and chips and some ale then maybe either the Still and West or The Bridge Tavern, both are walking distance from the ferry. One is a pub overlooking the solent and the other a pub overlooking the docks.
Fishermans Kitchen is meant to be unreal fish and chips but i have never been and a bit further away. Apart from that, Agora for a decent Turkish, El toro for some nice steak, or Briny for some seafront views and fish.

I don’t think I’ll be any hep to anyone. We’re getting into Gatwick on Wed morning and taking the train to the ferry. Unless we missed something it seems pretty straightforward. The real question is when shall I be welcome at HQ?
@Matt - yes, the journey from Gatwick should be very straightforward, Giles will drop you a DM.
Lots of folk are arriving on Thursday, so hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities for groups to get together for drinks/dinner. Giles and I can't get involved in any plans on Thursday as Haraki san, Tom, Sarina and Yasuda will arrive late afternoon. We're very excited to see everyone on Friday 9th (just 8 more sleeps :D)

@Madame Buttonfly That is if you can sleep the night before…extremely exciting to have everyone together!

Good recommendations from @AdamC those pubs are good for more neighbourhood vibes there is also the Greenwich and Merchant House. I second The Briny as maybe the best seafood restaurant in Southsea. Fisherman's Kitchen is good but the location of Deep Blue on the Pier is fun. There is good Indian at Desi and jerk chicken at Natty's. Best burger is maybe Meat and Barrel.
